Is there a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2021?

You bet! It's all happening in New York City on Thursday, November 25.

"We couldn't be more excited to have paradegoers back on the streets of Manhattan to join in person for this wonderful spectacle," Doug Vaughan, Executive Vice President, Special Programs, NBCU Television and Streaming, said in a statement. "The Macy's Thanksgiving Parade is an incredible tradition and we take great pride in bringing it to viewers each year as they celebrate the kickoff of the holiday season."

Last year, the parade did not follow its usual route through the city due to the ongoing pandemic. Instead, it was a television-only presentation that showcased the parade's signature helium balloons, iconic floats, talented performers, and more. This year, the parade is returning to its full, in-person glory.

What time does the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade start?

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 12 p.m. in New York City. It will start at 77th Street and Central Park West, marching 2.5 miles from Central Park West to Columbus Circle before turning onto Central Park South and heading down Sixth Avenue. Then, it will turn west at 34th Street and end at 7th Avenue in front of Macy's Herald Square.
